General Information
The exhibition will be held in the Ballroom at Powerscourt Estate, Enniskerry from 30 January 2026 until the 1st March 2026.  

Eligibility
This open call invites visual artists to submit original 2D work in the following disciplines ONLY - paint, drawing, mixed media and fine art prints, with 'no giclee prints', no digital art or photgraphy . Artists must be from the Wicklow area or a participant of the Schoolhouse for Art with eircode A98 RH33.
Artwork should not exceed 100cms in height or width.

Submission Procedure
Submission is by online entry only and please note that submission charges are non refundable should your work not be selected. 

Pricing
Commission is charged at 15% by Made in Wicklow. It will be assumed that the sale price includes the cost of any frame and our commission. Please allow for these points when pricing your work. Prices should include VAT if applicable. If you are VAT registered, please provide a VAT number in the box provided. 

Communications
All communication will be by email or via the online login process. Applicants will be required to login to see if they have been preselected and will be asked to download and print their application details to be delivered with the artwork. Failure to do so could result in work being withdrawn from the exhibition. 

Selection
 A curated selection committee across disciplines will select the works for the exhibition. Made in Wicklow and the Schoolhouse for Art are committed to an ethos of Fair Competition and so to promote openness and social inclusion, and to ensure opportunities for artists at all levels, this competition utilises blind judging. Selections will be made based purely on the merit of the work.The Selectors will consider all correctly completed submissions. The decision of the Selectors on all matters is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Insurance
Artists are responsible for insuring their own work. All works accepted for exhibition will be displayed entirely at the artists' risk and organisers and the gallery will not accept liability for loss or damage occurring during the exhibition.

Gallery Supervision
It will be required of each artists to give some time during the exhibition to volunteer up to one day of their time to supervise the gallery.
 

Presentation
All work must be securely framed and securely attached to the frame.
Strong picture cord (not household or garden string) must be tightly stretched with no slack.
Works in metal frames or clip frames, or backed with cardboard, sellotape or masking tape will NOT be accepted.
All submitted works must bear a securely attached adhesive label on the reverse side of the painting containing the following information: title, artist, price, medium. Please complete all sections of the label for each painting.
Pictures that are not properly framed, mounted, sealed or presented may be rejected.

Delivery and Collection

The expected drop-off window for exhibition work is from 12:00 PM (Noon) to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Following the exhibition, work collection is scheduled for Collection of all artwork will be from 4-5.15pm on Sunday 1st March or 10am-12 noon on Monday 2nd March These dates will be formally confirmed nearer the time. We kindly advise that participants show respect toward the staff and the Powerscourt location at all times.
All artwork must be un-packed and the packaging materials removed by the person bringing the artwork. No gallery storage is available for packaging. The Organisers actively supports the use of padded artwork bags which speeds up the hand-in and collection processes and ensures safe delivery of the work.
It is also the artist’s responsibility to package their artwork for removal at the end of the exhibition.
Work not collected at the stated times will be subject to a daily charge of €10 and will be disposed of after one week, unless there are exceptional circumstances preventing collection. Please contact the organisers in advance of take-down if, due to exceptional circumstances, you have problems with the collection of your artwork.
If an external storage company is used, the organisers cannot provide any guarantees about storage charges or conditions.
 

Agreement
By submitting to the exhibition you are deemed to accept and agree to the following:
The decision of the Selectors on all matters Is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
I understand that The Organisers reserves the right to make such changes to the exhibition arrangements and these Terms & Conditions as may be deemed necessary by circumstances.
I authorise The Organisers To process, store, and utilise the data in my submission and agree that, if selected for exhibition, images of my work can be freely used by The Organisers, The Gallery and associated organisations for promotional and publicity purposes.
All information provided by me is true and accurate and that the work submitted is wholly of my own creation.
I have read and understood these terms and conditions and by submitting this application I accept and agree to observe all the Terms And Conditions therein.
